I have come to realise that for many people, including me, a big part of personal development can be finding a way to be financially independent. One of the most highly touted ways to become financially independent nowadays is to make money online.

Many people have given testimonials to the vast amounts of money that they have made online. And it seems that everyone is touting making money online as the way to escape those dreadful bosses, retire by the time you are 30 and become a billionaire. When the World Wide Web was new there seemed to be many who were able to get rich quickly using it. But is the market for making money online saturated?

Many readers have written in asking me to explore this topic of making money online. As some have pointed out, it is difficult to be all you can be if you can barely make the rent or if you hate your job. So I decided to take on the challenge of researching how you can make money online and maybe even testing the research I find to see if in fact it is really based on solid tenets rather than just gimicky advertising that has no real basis.
